This one's for you, Jer!

I have been hearing for the past couple of weeks, "Hey, Annie. Guess what???" "What?" "Spring Training starts in (number of days)".
So, here we are. If I wasn't married to this great man, I probably would be left in the dark about baseball and everything to do with it. Just my luck, I don't have that problem. If any of you know Jeremy, you know that he has been a devoted New York Mets fan since he was about 10. If you ever need to know any facts about the Mets, or about baseball in general, he would be an excellent source. No, he's not obsessed...just on the verge. I have promised to someday go to a game with him in New York. Not my favorite city, but hey....anything for you, my dear:) Although, I was reminded that if we want to go to a game in Shay (sp?) stadium, that we have to go this year because they are tearing it down after this season. So, we might be making a trip out to see you after all Bryan and Summer. I just had to find the right motivation to get him to take the trip.
Anyway, so here's to the Mets, and here's to you, my love! This is the year....I can feel it.

Mets??? Well, at least it isn't the Yankees!!! It's so good to hear from you! Your family is so cute. We are still here in good ol' West Jordan, we built a house here a couple of years ago and it's been a great place to be. How about you guys??

Back in the day I was "in love" with Gregg Jefferies. My brother bought me a poster with him on it because I was a Mets fan. The rest was history. I was lucky in that on my birthday, May 27, he'd play either in Detroit or Chicago so my mom & I would go to a game. I tried for 10 years to get his autograph and never succeeded. Last time I saw him play when he was a Tiger I did get to talk to him for a second. But it was during a game and he wasn't signing nothing no how.

There are almost no Mets fans who would remember him as fondly as I do. He was pretty despised back in the day.
