A Different Angle

I don't get to experiment with my photography as much as I would like, since motherhood is a full-time job that I feel completely immersed in at this time. And I am happy with that choice...very happy. But, I have tried to take opportunities (or make them) to improve my photography skills while being so immersed.

If you wonder how to make your photos more interesting, just try different angles. It is amazing how much a different angle can make in the exact same setting, with the same subject.
(Not the greatest photos to follow, but the subject overshadows the quality...right?)Classic, front angle. Cute girl...Kind of predictable photo.

Side angle...a little more interesting, I think.

Ahh, isn't that nice?
This was my third and final shot for this experiment. I quit while I was ahead.

So, next time you pull your camera out, try a few different angles and see what you come up with. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Agreed. Final shot is the best. Isn't she sweet? The same, but so much older looking! Is she always so happy?

What a great idea Andrea--I am not a good photographer at all--I wish I was but that little angle tip is a great idea! I'll have to try it! Thanks!
