Just for a laugh

Isn't it funny the things that we will make our kids do so that we can get a little chuckle. Ah....the life of motherhood. You have to become your own comedian. This really was hilarious though.
By the way, our Easter was great. We celebrate the fun, easter bunny stuff on Saturday. The best was when our little miss woke us up and said "Daddy, you have GOT to come and see what I got." This girl absolutely loves candy. The Easter Bunny only brought her 3 eggs filled with jelly beans and M&M's, but she was delighted. He also brought her some books, which she has insisted on reading every night for the past week.
I should post some pics from Easter, but this will have to do for now.

Cinderella Tooth

I took Eden to the most incredible Pediatric Dentist last Thursday. She was beyond nervous. She gets this way with most things that are unknown, especially if it has to do with a waiting room and office.
This dentist was incredible, and that is an understatement. I was so impressed. I wish so much that I would have taken my camera. First of all, you walk into the office and on your right there is a big Shark's mouth built into the wall. Inside of the sharks mouth is the play area and it is like you are under the sea with coral, and fish. The front desk is in the shape of a gigantic smile. They have this whole "Under the Sea" theme.
The Doctor was so good with Eden. He got right down on her level and started talking about princesses and movies. That made her nervousness lessen. Don't get me wrong, she was still afraid that he was "going to give a shot", but I kept reassuring her and once she figured out that nobody was going to hurt her, she did just fine. The greatest "trick" was when the dentist asked if he could see if she had a "Cinderella Tooth". That was the key to her opening her mouth, not a little, but as wide as she could. She let him count all of her teeth and even search around a little. I was very surprised. I think that Eden's favorite part, by far, was the Carousel that she got to ride on because she was brave.
So, to those of you who are looking for a great Pediatric Dentist in Salt Lake, his name is Dr. Ryan Johansen and he is at Jordan Landing . Thanks for the recommendation, Sara. Eden is already looking forward to her next visit. I never thought that was possible.
By the way, I know that these shots aren't even close to perfect. I am getting more and more frustrated with my lens because it just has so many limits, and besides that I am the operator and technically challenged. So, I am going to have to figure something out. If anybody would like to volunteer to teach Photoshop to me, I would be ever so grateful and there may be some sort of compensation in the food area. I know some of Photoshop just from messing around, but feel like there is so much more that I am unaware of. This girl is practically impossible to get to hold still, and my lens is not fast enough. But, you know what. Her cuteness makes up for my lack of skill.

I love infants!

A friend in the neighborhood had this sweet little baby about 7 weeks ago. She let me take some shots of him. It has been a while since I've done an infant. It was fun, but I was not very confident in the process. Luckily, it worked out just fine despite using my very basic lens. I hope you like them, Trish!
He was over 10 pounds when he was born, and you can tell. He barely fit on this chair. He was such a sweetheart though. Putting up with my cold hands and moving him around so much. He finally just gave up and fell asleep, which was really nice because we got some really good shots with him sleeping. It is always amazing to me how much noise babies can sleep through. There were kids running all over the house making all sorts of noise, and it didn't even phase him. Thanks again , Trish. The first shot is my favorite, by the way.
